Though it's in the're name, Electric Eels are not eels. They are a species of fish called knife fish that live in the Amazon River in South America. Electric Eels have 6,000 blood cells in the're body's called electrocytes. These cells are negatively charged. On the outside the cells are positively charged.
Each cell has up .08 energy potential. Together these cells can mass electricity up to 650 volts. It is enough to stun a fish, but just not enough to kill a grown man.
